I have been working with nonprofits since 2007, and with Salesforce since 2011. I started out implementing and managing Salesforce as a nonprofit employee and in 2018 I made the move to consulting. While I worked on a large number of projects for both commercial and nonprofit customers, and learnt an enormous amount about Salesforce and projects, I noticed that for many nonprofits, the end of an implementation project is really the start of changing an organisation’s culture and work processes to make better use of technology. But while an organisation is supported by an implementation partner during an initial project, once the project ends an organisation is often on their own to work the rest out. I started my own business to find new ways to help nonprofits get the most out of Salesforce.

Earlier on when I was starting out in my Salesforce career as a System Administrator for a small nonprofit, I wish I’d had someone I could turn to for help; there’s so much information online that you can sift through, and while these are a fantastic resources it can be incredibly overwhelming. It became clear that most people using this system required assistance with interpreting the information, so my goal became about being the support person I wish I’d had access to when I started out.

Now I’m here to share my knowledge of Salesforce technology by supporting nonprofits to get the most out of this powerful tool. Technology should be an enabler for nonprofits, but too often it becomes an unnecessary barrier. After all, you want to be spending your time changing the world, not resolving IT issues!
